Magpie Net is a registered business name of J & Co Ventures Pty Ltd (ACN 700 692 020, ABN 43 700 692 020). These terms cover the Magpie Net website and discovery invitation, information about the AI Use Review, plus any continuing access to the paused historical compute testnet and its archived interfaces. By accessing the website or those historical interfaces, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them.

What the website offers now

The website explains Magpie's direction and invites a research conversation about a recent organisational AI decision. It also describes the AI Use Review, a separate fixed-fee, three-week service for Australian professional firms of roughly 20–100 staff. An enquiry does not book or create that engagement; actual scope, price, responsibilities and handling of information require a separate written proposal or agreement.

The platform remains under validation and is not an available production service. A working local demonstration may be shown by arrangement using synthetic or otherwise non-sensitive examples. The website does not provide immediate production access or offer a live pilot under these terms.

Descriptions of future capabilities, deployments or commercial arrangements are goals under validation, not a guarantee that a particular model, provider, feature, price or delivery date will be available. Any future pilot or client deployment requires separate signed service and data-handling documents that define the actual scope, price, responsibilities and data boundary.

Enquiries do not create an engagement

Contacting Magpie or taking part in an initial discovery conversation does not by itself create a client, adviser or partnership relationship, or a contractual confidentiality obligation. Please do not send sensitive client, member or organisational information in an enquiry. Any confidentiality, service, support or partnership obligation must be set out in a separate written agreement signed by the relevant parties. This does not exclude duties that apply independently under law.

General information, not professional advice

Website content is general information about Magpie's project and commercial direction. It is not legal, privacy, security, financial or other professional advice. Organisations must make their own assessment and obtain appropriate advice before approving an AI workflow or relying on a proposed technical or contractual control.

Acceptable use

You may browse and share links to the public website for legitimate evaluation and discussion. Do not misuse the website or historical interfaces, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with their operation, probe them for malicious purposes, submit unlawful material, impersonate another person or misrepresent a relationship with Magpie.

Content and intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the website design, copy, branding and media are owned by or licensed to J & Co Ventures Pty Ltd. You may make a reasonable internal copy for evaluating Magpie, but may not republish substantial content, remove ownership notices or use the Magpie name or marks in a way that suggests endorsement. Code or material separately released under an open- source licence remains governed by that licence.

Paused historical compute testnet

The experimental compute testnet, provider app and archived buyer, provider and demo interfaces are paused, are not accepting registrations and are not the current Magpie service. Do not enter sensitive information into them.

Points are not money

Historical testnet points are not money, not a cryptocurrency or token, not redeemable for anything, and not a promise of future rewards or value. They are only historical records of testnet contribution. There is no purchase or payment associated with them.

Historical participation and fair use

People who previously ran the provider software chose to use hardware they controlled and remained responsible for their electricity, hardware and internet costs. Do not attempt to defraud, game or attack the historical network, including by faking work, falsifying hardware capability or submitting results you did not compute. Magpie may keep the testnet paused, reset historical experimental data where lawful, or discontinue its archived interfaces.

Third-party services and links

The website and historical interfaces may link to or rely on third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to their services. A link does not mean Magpie controls or endorses all third-party content, availability or practices.

Accuracy, availability and legal rights

We take reasonable care with the website, but information can become outdated and the site or historical interfaces may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies consumer guarantees, rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.

Subject to those non-excludable rights, the public website, general information and paused experimental software are provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, J & Co Ventures Pty Ltd is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by reliance on general website information or use of the paused historical interfaces.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms as the website and project change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Questions can be sent through the contact options on the homepage.
