Open testnet · last updated 4 June 2026
Magpie is an open testnet for a decentralized AI-compute network. This policy explains what we collect and why. It is intentionally short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- Your Google account email, when you sign in. We use it to identify you and to create the wallet that tracks your points. We request only basic sign-in scopes (
openid, email, profile). - Your hardware capability (e.g. GPU tier and memory), which the app detects and reports so the network can route work.
- Your email address, if you submit it to the waitlist, so we can contact you about early access.
What we do not collect
We do not access your files, documents, or personal data on your computer. The provider app and its local inference engine run on your machine; we receive only the results of the network jobs you complete and your liveness/heartbeat signals.
How we use it
To operate the testnet: to identify your provider account and wallet, credit your points, show the public leaderboard (which displays a wallet address and totals, not your email), and to contact you about access if you joined the waitlist.
Sharing
We do not sell your data. We use a wallet-infrastructure provider (Crossmint) to create your testnet wallet, and standard hosting providers to run the service. Your email is not shown publicly.
Your choices
You can stop running the app at any time. To have your testnet account or waitlist email removed, contact us at the address below.
